Two statistics for you.

Accoding to OFSTED, 25% of PE lessons are inadequate and do not contain rigorous enough exercise.

According to me, 25% of OFSTED inspectors are failed heads/teachers who couldn't hack it in school so take a job telling other people how it should be done.

Overall, but with obvious exceptions, I think most teachers do a good job. It's not easy trying to teach feral kids when you're not allowed to beat the crap out of them.......like in my day.

I was in the headmaster's office on a regular basis for a good beating. Never did me any harm... ::) ::) ::) ;)

it is no different to the team SWTSMBO works for...thet are aptly name the school improvement team (the advisors go in to a school after OFSTED have been in and slated the school) the thing is the advisors you wouldn't trust them to run you a bath let alone get a school out of special measures

But you did learn to dodge their throws better :-X

We had a teacher who would throw the chalk... We managed to get 2 whole boxes off him one day, then he had to ask for it back because he'd run out :-X ::) ;D

We had pupils throwing bullets in the blacksmiths forge in metal work class in my school.That caused a bit of a panic. ::) ;D ;D
