Towing question

Hi guys and girls,

I'm curious I'm looking into getting either a transporter trailer or towing dolly but I only got my license in 2010 so does this mean I have to get a different type of licence to tow a dolly with a project car on?

In short... Yes ;) Although there are technicalities that mean you may not have to depending on weights ::)

But, just FYI, unless the towing dolley is braked it is classed as an unbraked trailer (same with A Frames) so the may legal weight is 750 Kgs including the equipment :o :o Of course, people get away with breaking that law all the time but just so you are aware ::) :y

Yep, very common  ::) And most of the time it gets looked over... Even more illegal if those 4x4's aren't road legal ::)

There are braked towing dolleys available which gets around the problem. But, as I said, it's generally ignored ::)
