Running too rich code
« on: 29 March 2013, 13:49:28 »

Can anyone help, I have an Omega 2.2 petrol 2001 and I'm getting a PO170 running too rich code, engine light comes on, had all sensors changed also had a cracked exhaust manifold changed, when I start the car after of while or in the morning, it runs up and down as though it will stall, after about a minute or so it will settle down and tick over good, whilst driving, it is juddering as though it misfires and there's a distinct lack of power. Any suggestions please

Did you get any other codes, what prompted you to change "all" the sensors? What exactly was changed?

Start with basics first, check plugs for oil/water, any air leaks.

How did you get the codes, your own laptop/reader or a garage?

Oh and welcome  :y

Car went to my local garage due to the problem, he then used his solus reader and came up with different sensor problems so he changed these, the only one that hasn't been changed is the lambda, but the exhaust manifold had a crack in it which lead me to believe it might not be giving the right signals to the lambda, now I'm starting to think it could be that. I'll carry out the checks you suggested.

Many thanks ;)

Genuine sensors?

A look at the live data would be worthwhile..
