nice one Murph :-) to be honest its not to do with the replacement every one hundred thousand miles. It was more to do with if i wired it up wrong then I'd have to strip down and do it all again. This way when i need to clean breathers i disconnect and flop to one side and proceed as normal

Aaah well that bit is easy.
Say you use 4 wires: you probably won't have the same colours as the original wiring but thats OK as long as you have a black one. Maybe you have red green blue and black.
Gently peel back the insulation on the dispack plug and note the wire colours. at one end or the other there will be a black wire.

Plug them in to the wiring at the bulkhead making sure to note the order, starting with the black which is your key.
You now go the dispack and plug them in in the same order with the black in its correct position.
You will be able to see by the shape of the plug which way round to do this, e.g when the curve of the plug is at the top the black is the first wire.
As long as you stick to the same order of colours one of two things will happen - either the car will start or it won't.
If it does then congrats - you're done.
If not, unplug the wires from the dispack and reverse the order - it's easier than you think to get it the wrong way round. Once done, the car will start.

For my part, I wanted to leave the wiring unmolested so I could go back to the standard configuration later if I want to.

well if you not bothered to leave it in stock position and going through all that work to move it -you might as well make it permanent-I cant do that with mine as where you place your coil pack is were my vaporiser sits

Can't fault your reasoning there, although in my case the mod was necessary.
My coil pack had failed and the only spare I had was from a cavalier and that didn't fit on the OE bracket, so I had to come up with an alternative.

The Cav/early Omega V6 bracket simply bolts to the rear of the head.  :y

True, but when I scrapped the Cav (long before I bought the Mega) I didnt keep the bracket.
