Hi guys,

As above I understand that when you go in to a garage you got to provide your own tools even if it's a big dealership.

This I find really odd but nevertheless it means that the tools I buy from now on should be good quality and with a view to them lasting as long as possible.

SO my question for this evening... do I need to provide EVERYTHING including jack, jack stands? if so, and conveniently I was going to upgrade those when I got paid this month, so I think I got my jack sorted... low profile jobbie from Costco which I believe Mr Gixer has.

but stands.... are these any good.... 3 tonne each, look sturdy and at good price......http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cax-6tbc-6-ton-axle-stands

You may not need them but if you do buy a set then I can vouch for these ,

I ordered them in UK on Tuesday and they arrived here in Ireland yesterday , Thursday .
I went for the 6 ton for the height they gave when extended . Incredible quality .
