Done one om my 2.2 last year ..was dead easy..i wired it in by cutting etc..there is a plug in boot. but my towbar was off a earlier omega.
ie: round and square plugs.. and you have to remove the padding/foam in the boot where plate is going. :y

AFAIK. There are two types of this towbar (in the boot) PFL/FL (someone will correct me if i am wrong)

If you fit a FL tow bar to a FL its plug&play. Apart from jumping into the brake light circuit TO get the

brakelights working, or... fitting a relay under the dash

I fitted a PFL tow bar to my FL,so it was not plug&play (the square did not fit in the circle on the

electrics)so i had to cut&splice the electrics,I also had to chop the bumper, And the ball is very close to

the bumper with the earlier towbar,(PIC BELOW)But all i tow is a small tip trailer.

Talk to Andy b (He is into dealing with the far rear point of a omega)

He helped me with the electrical side. And my car ended up on fire   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
