I think I have. It seems if you run on UPnP, many routers will close the ports after a few minutes. Nintendo tech site is full of such complaints, only Nintendo haven't been that clear on what the requirements are.

For the past year or so, my Wii looks like it has been using UPnP, rather than specific firewall rules I used to use on the old routers (I swapped out the 2 routers for the 2 lines last year, and replaced with a single unit that can handle 2 FTTC/Infinity lines).

So, I've slapped the Wii out on one of my RIPEs, and given it an Allow-All firewall rule.  If that doesn't work, well, I'm out of ideas...
