Yes as he is the only Yamaha rider on a 1 year contract. But will Rossi retire at the end of the season if he carries on qualifying and getting results like today? Personally, I think sadly age has caught up with him and he has lost his edge. You only need 1/10 of a second here and there and you are not a contender as all of the top riders are very fast.

Im not writing the old Rossi off just yet, although it could well be that he hasnt got that last 1% anymore which makes the difference at the very sharp end. Another half dozen races will probably answer that question.
I very much doubt he will retire at the end of this season.Next year is much more likely imo.
Marquez,is even more astonishing than we all thought he might be.Whether he can keep doing it weekend after weekend for the next 10 years or so remains to be seen.Hes still a bit too crazy for his own good tbh,and I just hope he doesnt hurt himself or someone else before he becomes a living legend.

Same here. It will kill MotoGP in this country imo.
They have short memories.I remember 1999 iirc, the attendance at Donington for th MotoGp race was something pitiful like 15,000.
Once it disappears of free to view TV and the Rossi era finishes,it could easily slide back down that slope.
