Could be many things that's what's so annoying  :-\

Pulled the tensioner off today it was bone dry all greased up now and put a little more in the new pulley will go for a run again later.. Easier to take air filter box out to check/remove the tensioner  :y

Symes comment made me wish i'd checked mine also seen as i had pretty much everything off  :'( ;D

No need to remove air filter box to remove tensioner assembly ???

If pulley bearing dry just remove pulley - 1 bolt (15mm) - off in minutes ::)

Take it apart and grease it anyway , you wouldnt want it to shatter at 70mph like mine did .. what a mess  >:( ;D
