Cheers for the offer but my back was against the wall. I need to get the car back on the road by Monday. Simple disc and pads turned in to a nitemare. Not only are the springs bust but both my rear calipers have had to be replaced. I don't think this car has ever had a set of rear pads from new ( I certainly don't have that job listed in the service history) I had to cold chisel the inner pads out of the calipers and when they did come out they took most of the piston with it. A right shocking state of affairs.

I was disappointed with KYB, rusted very quickly. Boge ones lasting much better, zero rust 3 years in! Not sure if they do SL ones though.

Pity I haven't looked at the forum for a few days.... I have a pair of low mileage genuine springs here.  :-[

I had boge on my 3.2 Elite, which I only took off to try to make it do corners.

I would say they are significantly better quality than KYB. Even after a 14 or 15 months of use, plus being kicked around the garage for over 18 months, they were still lookin as good as new.

I know too late for the OP, but anyone else looking, worth considering boge. A bit dearer, I think I paid £140 for the pair.
