To the OP.

Your first post asked 'whats it worth' and gave some description of recent work done.

Your second post described something about the expensive relatively new rear shocks that it has on it and other pricey additions.

I gave the whole some thought, as I said, before reaching a conclusion.

My conclusion, based on my years on here as part of the admin team as well as my previous profession, was that it was a sales thread. These are normally simply deleted in entirety and binned. In your case I moderated post content but left the thread, albeit locked, in order that you and others saw my rationale.

As to not knowing you/asking you/whatever, that goes both ways. You do not know me or any of the admin team (as far as known) but we do advertise our thoughts and experiences by way of the forum guidelines, if folks care to read and understand them.

As to disgraceful behaviour or similar I take exception to your comments. I can summarise my response in a nutshell if you like but it would be exceptionally blunt and to the point and I have no intention of starting on a war or heated discussions on manners.

I stand by my actions and would go so far as to say your thread got a LOT more life than others previous.

 :)

Having been through the logs, there were enough triggers for it to be viewed as a disguised For Sale thread to me, so I'll back H21 on this one. Whatever the intention, thats the way it read, so with my Mr Admin hat on, the correct course of action was taken to comply with our guidelines.

These guidelines have been tweaked over the years to protect members, the forum, and the forum owners.

Not quite sure why you think the actions of the admin team was disgraceful - thats usually a secondary trigger, which confirms our original view may have been correct ;)

However, with my Mr Member hat on:
Ring round the scrap yards, they should give you an estimate of how much they would offer. If you deliver to them, I would expect somewhere in the region of £100 - £250, depending  on the scrappy involved.

If breaking yourself, look on ebay at what parts are selling for (note - selling for, not listed) to get an idea.

If you have professional breakers in your area, try calling them. But I'd expect, at best, scrap prices.

But as this looks like a thinly veiled attempt to get an OOF breaker to buy it off you (trust me, you won't get a premium price from them), I wouldn't be surprised if I decide to delete this thread...

FFS, Rules are rules, simples, members on here can reg for free and get some of the best advice available in all sections without advertising thanks to our Admins and Mods. This isn't a moan thread, its an extention to the original one to attract parts buyers and should be deleted in my opinion.
