A mate is thinking about buying it now. Asked the seller if it's cat recorded, seems very cheap.
Need some quick advice please regarding the 2.2 engine, any weaknesses, mpg chain or belt general reliability.
Auction ending soon so any advice appreciated.
   Cheers, Guy.

I can't help much. My mate has had one for quiet  some years & has had very little trouble with it. Good on fuel, fairly quick & comfortable too.

Cracking engine, chain driven cam setup, sounds quite italian when revved.

Quite a strong lump to, there was a short period in 2001 ish where tehre was an oiling issue with the chains but, it was mainly due to silly service intervals which resulted in the spray nozzle clogging!!

i have 2 of them, one normal bertone and a limited edition SE2 and they are absoloutly stunning cars, i would recommend them to any one.
they are no good as family cars or for long distance journeys though
