the fan always seem to run too fast on the climate control on my 2001 cdx,the buttons have little effect on the speed,is there a resistor pack/hedgehog type thing fitted to Omegas and if so would this cause this problem?

Yep - hedgehog is behind glove box, up high and to the right - just clips in ;)

Yes there is a hedgehog/resistor.Its on the passenger side well hidden up from the footwell. RobG should be along shortly with a pic of the location.Or if you do a search there may well have been a previous thread on it.
It sounds like a resistor problem to me,but wait for someone more expert to confirm.
If it turns out you need one I have one on a car Im dismantling if you want to go down the used route. Iirc they are prettyy expensive new.

Theres a pic of the hedgehog in this thread. You need to remove the glovebox before you can access it.Even then its pretty awkward.
