Halfords warranty
« on: 29 September 2013, 08:20:42 »

I snapped the knuckle off my breaker bar yesterday, apparently 13 stone bouncing on it is not ideal ;D  they swapped it with no fuss at all even without a receipt and I was given one with a slightly different design that looks stronger.  I do like their tools !

Indeed, I've had no trouble with their warranty, although often they do wish to see a receipt (which in fairness, they do say is a requirement of the warranty).

I was looking up the prices of the new breaker bars last week, to get prices for the insurance, and noticed that the design had changed to make the knuckle stronger :y

I think the fact it has Halfords stamped on it helps a little  ;D fair play if they query it as rules are rules.

I think its a convenient get-out-of-jail-free card for them, as how many of us keep receipts (I do for this sort of thing)?

I keep all my receipts, I just don't know where.
