Parcel2go
« on: 06 November 2013, 19:55:25 »

Am about to send a parcel to England and thought I'd check for pricing.
The box weighs a little less than 3kg and measures 16x16x6 inches.
Royal mail are out, Collect+ looking good, but thought I'd try p2g as well. The site quote tool says that the parcel is either too big or too heavy for them!
Is it really that big? Surely not?

Have you tried rapidparcel.com? Done one bigger than yours recently to Aus, £36 for the same weight as yours

Although both the Post office from Biggriffin and Hermes? from yourself both managed to deliver with the minimum of fuss :y

Once paid £46 to 'Next Day' an envelope to Oz :-X

No locations for rapid parcel in NI  :-\ and UPS are looking a fortune  :o
I'll just stick with collect+ as its less than a tenner   ;)

i use post office for most things,as i still believe they are the best, the rest are just imitations. Saying that for larger items i have been using ukmail and they have been v.good.

Been using My Hermes lately, touch wood all ok, I like the idea of dropping the parcel off at my local shop  :y

Recently sent some Cable using My Hermes to NI, didn't cost any more than normal.

Tip 1, if using Parcel 2 go, and you end up being quoted My Hermes use My Hermes directly, same price but you get the first £50 insurance for free with them.

Tip 2, Most Couriers offer 25 to 50% discount on your first shipment, Google there name with Voucher Codes etc.
