Technically yes, but in reality you can use 2.5/3.0 on a later 2.6/3.2 The later gaskets come as the two older gaskets joined together to make a single gasket

I recently fitted the "older style 2.5/3.0" to my 3.2.

Difference is as Andy says ..the older style come as 2 loose gaskets per bank and due to the nature of the grooves in the covers fit just into each side.The "newer type" are joined and this small extra piece of rubber fits into a groove joining across back and front of cover.

I was advised that if you fitted the seperate 2 piece gasket and left the extra groove blank yo ran the small risk of water entering under the cover so just to be totally sure I filled this groove with a thin bead of sealant.

So newer style gasket fits either,but imagine new type gasket would need joiners cut out to fit into older covers.

Hope that all makes sense ;)
