US Fracking and Saudi Arabia defending its market share = The good news of an oil glut, lower and lower prices for us and squeaky bum time for Putin!

The first line of text in that piece for me says it all:

"Religion is one of the most divisive forces in the world's history."

I am gobsmacked, astounded and sad  that people still pay heed to stories invented by simpletons all those years ago. How can our race have advanced so far scientifically and physically and yet still believe this .......crap.

Because Steve many of us feel strongly about our individual beliefs reinforced by personal experience, even though "organisations" took over many centuries ago to use our faith in the political shannagins, and general control over the people, of their set "religions".

Ironically it is those "religious" forces, accompanied by political ideologies, that have caused the conflicts during which mankind has used his creative and inventive skills to gain advantages over their opponents, with a great boost given to scientific knowledge that has also assisted our physical development.  Wars have been the breeding ground of scientific inspiration.
