Ok, a few weeks back I posted about "ownership" of the Youview box after cancelling a BT TV/Youview contract.

Well, I've done it now and am pleased to advise that I don't have to return the box as I cancelled the contract after the end of the 12 month contract period. If I'd cancelled it within the 12 month period I would have had to return the box.

The economics are quite good as the box is £229 new (or £149 for a Humax graded one). I paid BT £49 one off, plus £66 rental for the 12 months plus 30 days cancellation. That's a total of £115 with £66 payable over a year.

So, all's well that ends well.
