Glove Box
« on: 10 December 2013, 23:35:28 »

I can't get my glove box open !
The lever/ handle has pulled out & stayed out, there feels to be a cylindrical part that's come out with it.
I can't get the lever / handle to go back.
Any ideas how I can get it open or what's gone wrong ?
It's dark at the moment so I'll have another look in daylight, it seems to be just one thing after the other at the minute  :'(

There's a guide in the maintenance section about this issue, although I'm not sure if it suggests how to open the glove box on the first place  ???
It is a common enough problem so someone should have an idea  :y

Handle should clip back in... kind of... can then be used sort of normally :y

You do need the glovebox open to remove it though :y

Mine went as well recently. I can, (ahem), put my finger in the hole left by the broken handle, and push downwards, and mine comes open.
Its going to stay that way for a while until the weather warms up. :-[

Try pushing the glovebox box door backwards & upwards at the same time quite firmly to take the strain off the latch and then jiggle the lock handle back into place  :y
