Lot of car for the money

Its a poor mans version of Mr Opti's car but needs must  ::)
21 mpg not too bad .. had the mig down to 8 mpg  :(

You will get that one well below 8 if you try hard.

Check and check again for the rust, get under it and check....go over with a fine tooth comb

I think that's just too old. It might be ok to take out at weekends but not as a daily driver.

I think that's just too old. It might be ok to take out at weekends but not as a daily driver.
Perhaps, but it's easily twice the car that its replacement is :y

Trip computer on mine shows 23.9 MPG over the last 142 miles, at an average speed of 30 MPH.

It actually read 27 MPG at one point.........before it came into traffic.

Yes please......or better still the  300 SEL 6.3 made between 1968-72. A real old 'cold war' bruiser. :y

My old boss had one of those, bought it new around mid the 70s (to replace his Corniche) - real nice car to drive, borrowed it a few times ;)
