Samsung...do one
« on: 25 February 2014, 23:24:48 »

After 4 months of hating my samsung galaxy s4 I've went back to the iPhone. Mainly because I trod on the bugger the other night. Still, that was all the excuse I needed.
Cost me a few quid, but as the Samsung wasnt insured,It would've cost a similar amount to repair it. So now got an iphone 4s and a smile on my chops.
Will never buy a Samsung again.

A screen assembly is considerably cheaper than what you can get an S4 for, what exactly was it that the S4 couldn't do that the iPhone can?

Don't think I would ever go back to an iphone. Pretentious, overpriced, shiny bling. Like a BMW really. But they have a fanbase. No doubt about that.

I can't help but wonder if the iPhone would have the same appeal if it had the actual manufacturers name (Hon Hai Precision Ltd) stamped on it rather than the word Apple  ;)

I'm not bothered about the brand, quite the opposite, as I'm quite anti-crApple. However, I'm still struggling to find an alternative that works for me. Or that doesn't share my life with an advertising company.

Shame, as I think the gayPhone is way overpriced, as mugs will pay for the brand. I'm frustrated because I think the crApple brand makes it worth less. Grrrrrr.

Come on Google, get ya crappy Android working right, and completely separate from your online crap.

Oddly, I type this from a Mac Air. But the Mac Air was actually cheaper than the windows equivalent with a better warranty. The iphone on the other hand is simply overpriced and other than certain specific applications, like the ones you (TB) require, is no where as flexible as an android phone.

Compare £240 for the Nexus5 vs £520 for the iphone5. To pay more than twice for essentially a phone that does the same thing is madness, or brand related blindness. IMO.
