.....
For the record....'Motor' magazine road tested the 'new' V12 E-Type in 1971. Top speed 146 MPH......0-60 MPH in 6.4 secs. :y :y

All this performance for just £3212. :y

A few years earlier my parents paid not much less (about £2500 ..... I think) for their 3 bedroom semi  ;) ;)

Excellent , did you have a go in the Mustang  :)

Nope that was on show, but have driven PAX and SVM in the past, actually followed the Olympic torch out of Rochdale driving SVM

It's a JAGUAR E TYPE 5343 (According to the MID)

Very nice too :)

I am informed that it is a MkIII coupe Auto, one of the lesser desired one's but some say the nicest to drive, which it is and the pick up is ACE when you kick down.

The only thing of some age I have driven that had more whooomph was an Aston Martin DBS V8 Vantage. Drove it back from Blackpool in the 80's. Will not state on here what speed we were doing down the M55 but WOW

He's had it about 20 years

Ooh very nice.. If I won the lottery, one would definitely be on the list of dream cars.

How was it to drive?

The S1 I reassembled two years ago was amazingly uncomfortable, let alone difficult to get in and out of. It was probably about the same as a mate's GT6, but at least that had light controls.
