Second one :y

Aim the front edge of the jack head at the centre bolt. Should then be room to place the axle stand under the front of the triangular plate...

Initially place the axle stand at its lowest setting on both sides, then jack it upti working height. That way you minimise the chances of the axle stands shifting. Drop it back down in reverse :y

Putting the rear on stands is a right PITA on the Omega, problem is the big jack I have gets in the way of where the stands need to be. Combination of big stand and big jack  :(

In second of your pictures EMD i use if dropping suspension, so changing springs ect.

For wheel changes I do just chuck them under the first one  :y
