Bluetooth 4

As far as I can make out this is pretty useless. Any kind of wall renders it just the same as earlier versions.

New, improved Bluetooth. Must have missed that one.

Its not designed to be a long distance system and 4.x does not look to change this.

Given the frequency used and power levels it wont go a great range.

The main addition to 4.x is the low power mode targeted at long battery life from coin cell type applications.

thanks - yes just reading up now. Line of sight is necessary but appreciate lower power consumption is a key feature. Reason for post was I or Pure Radios seem to have screwed up on the purchase of an Evoke Pure Radio D4 when I had asked for wifi  streaming which is the F4 model - anyhow D4 has Bluetooth which would have been a workaround but wanted to run from pc ideally. Use of tablet or phone will have to be way forward now keeping it close to Radio.

I have an Evoke Flow with wifi but screen has failed and not sure it will be economic to repair. They gave me discount on the D4 but as said the F4 would have done the proper job.
