Recently been travelling to france but just keep getting confused with the settings for the HID headlights
there is a little lever to shift a little plate in front of lamp. so for this country as you are looking at the car what should the left light be set at plate up or no plate
and the right head light plate up or plate down
I am thinking no plate for uk and both plates for francais???

Lever position for Europe driving of a UK car is:

Driver lever up, passenger lever Down

thanks will sort that out tonight when dark just for curiosity is the plate blocking the passenger light

The levers blank off the kick-up on both headlamps, making it effectively a lower beam.

so if I have understood correctly the passenger should have the plate up to stop dazzling the frenchies when I drive on the wrong side of the road!!!!

Both sides need to have the kick-up blanked. Both sides.

From memory, that means one lever up, other down, as explained in the user manual.

Drive up to a wall/garage door when it gets dark. Lights on & before you alter anything, you'll see \_____   \_____ on the wall/door. Alter the levers up & down, you'll mask the left hand upsweep & end up with  ______   ______
