I assume that the top picture is a before and then an after  of the same wheel. mine is not as bad as the top but is starting to peel the laquer and show white through the ''wood'' section.
how did you get the finish on the after pictures.

Yes, before and after shots. The leather has been retrimmed at some point. I sent the steering wheel to the bodyshop along with my Cavalier Turbo when I had some exterior work (bumpers, tow eye, general tidy up) done. The wheel is colour coded to the Satin Red finish on the car, although I have yet to install it!
