Auto Aid

Has anyone come across this organisation?  They seem to be highly rated as an alternative to the usual breakdown recovery suspects.

Its a bit different though.  You call them, they arrange a local garage to come out, you pay them direct and then reclaim from AutoAid.   The reviews I read suggest it does work reliably.  I guess ultimatly it comes down to how good the local spanner is.

The deal on the face of it is pretty good.  My RAC renewal for me and the mrs recovery only (no homestart) is £92.  Auto aid is £36 inc limited homestart, full recoevry etc.

I'm with them. Bargain price - covers me the other half and me on my motorbike.

Did some research and they appear to pay up promptly.

Of course with my super reliable Omega I've never needed them......

Any other comments, I might be interested in this, Miggy back on the road and swmbo got no cover, my daily car covered seperately. We were with the AA, never used them and paying around £100 a year, old problem is though, how much to recover if not covered. :-/ :-/
