Decided to clean out the breathers at the weekend. Got everything stripped, cleaned and back together no problem as I've done before but when I started it up it was idling really rough and then it would cut out. Done pedal trick and got code 1500 which is throttle motor failure. Took it all apart again to make sure everything was connected properly and it was, started up again and same problem. Took bagpipes off to check if the butterflies where working properly, found they were so after a good few hrs scratching head and checking everything decided to lift the negative off the battery to reset. Once I connected it up again the car started okay but on starting it revved to 1500-2000rpm and stayed there for approx 2 seconds before settling back to a steady 900 rpm. Now before this the car always idled at around 600 rpm. It's not a major problem I know but I'd still like to get it fixed. Any idea's guys? Would another throttle body so this?
