Saw a documentary on 4 about this recently. was good viewing, most of the parents were a tad neurotic with the kids not that interested tbh.  ::)

I think this is a problem with many activities for kids, I believe in encouraging and supporting but not forcing them. I have seem so many parents do it for themselves, perhaps re living childhood experiences or missed opportunities. Can get very competative to the point of spoiling things for the rest.

Dancing and Kids football in particular but other activities as well.

Absolutly... I see the results of negative impacts in childhood on a daily basis. It is such a critical time that can devastate lives, and result in much misery  :(
