Warnings after Ignition Locxk change
« on: 03 October 2014, 11:20:31 »

Hi

X reg Omega 2litre GLS Petrol.

I changed the Ignition Switch for a Vauxhall supplied  new one with the same key code; but when testing inadvertently ran the engine with airbag disconnected.

Now I not only get the Airbag warning light on permanently, but also remote locking won't work even after I tried re-synch, and the boot electric unlock button won't work.  Apart from that car drives fine.

Any suggestions for fixing these faults greatly appreciated.  Or does anyone know where I can get them fixed for less than Vauxhall prices.  I'm in Sutton Coldfield.

Thanks

Peter

A chat with a Tech2 will sort the Airbag light, assuming its all connected back as it should be.

As For the remote, assuming your using all the original bits, are you re syncing it correctly, or coincidence maybe, Fob battery, Battery or Button connectors etc.,
