Which angle grinder?

I'm planning how to spend my Xmas money already, and as its been at least three weeks since I bought a tool... Any recommendations for angle grinders, and discs?

I shall be replacing heat shield bolts as the first job, but it will be getting used for all manner of things... Can a decent one be got for £40-50? :D

recently bought both the bosch and sparky grinder lately.

4 1/2 bosch was the best buy for £35 on offer as its small enough for tight spots.

Sparkys good for constant grinding tasks with its soft start and rubber anti vibe handles but bulky.

Bosch you can't go wrong with them I have had 3 over the years and they do take some grief  :y :y

I have a 9" which cost £30 in Lidl a couple of years ago and used it mostly for stone/block cutting and its still going strong!  :y

I've had a 4.5" Dewalt for several years, which go for about £50. I'd happily buy another as it runs smooth and quietly, and is nice and compact.

For those small jobs like rusty bolts, removing exhausts etc the cordless Ryobi One+ grinder gets more use than I expected. Which makes a nice change as I've other tools that are much less useful than they looked. 3/8 cordless impact wrench for example.

£14.99 for the ''Challenger'' 500w angle grinder from Argos as recommended by a couple on here. I've used it a few times now and it's a really nice tool.

Longevity. . . No idea. But at that price buy a couple. I'm going to get another one so I don't have to keep swapping between cut discs and grinding discs.

MarkDTM recommended some cutting discs also. 5.99 for 5. I've used them. Good stuff, can't put a link up though as I'm on the wife's computer. Will do tomorrow  :)

*the girl who moved in and brought her own toolbox, welding gauntlets, spanner collection, mallet... She really is perfect.

As said before I have a Makita which is five years old and still going strong.

This ones had a hard and very heavy life with LOTS of use, way beyond DIY level.

 paid £10.00 at auto jumble, 10 years ago, make haven't a clue it's red :),still going strong, used it to cut the old fireplace out, and cut out double gangs when fitting kitchen, just change the disc for whatever job it needs..
 now watch it pack-up,next time I need it..
