I finally sold my Omega for £450 yesterday after just 2 days on Autotrader. In fact I could have sold it 3 times over. Contrast this with when I put it on eBay for the same price in November. A few enquiries but nobody wanted to pay the starting (and sale) price despite my 10 or more years of eBay positive feedback.
IMO   e bay
is has become a waste of time for both sellers & buyers.
If you are selling  . . . & we are  talking cars here ,the buyer can turn up , not like what he sees ,even if faults have been fairly discribed, & walk away with no obvious reason or penalisation for not buying. then it will reappear with the  "re-listed due to timewaster" tag

Sellers , although some are genuine, get associates to bid up there vehicle to reach what ever they want for it, hoping some real buyer will "bid another tenner or so" & win it.
Prime example of this happened just the other day  . . . a  nice looking 3.2 was  supposidly bid up to 1900 quid , seller had already let his "reserve " of 1500 be known in a roundabout way. So presume car was sold . Buyer probably bid well over odds  . .or car was not as adverised  . . .or could it be  dodgy bidding ?

Low and behold , yesterday a "newbie' & quite likely the e bay seller, tries to put it up for sale on here.

I am not saying I won't be buying another car from e bay  . . . but it is unlikely

Agreed autotader or Gumtree is a much better option
