Questions
« on: 25 May 2015, 14:50:09 »

I've bought a motorbike dirt cheap as a non runner which I hope to get going to use as a commuter for work. It's a Lexmoto Street 125.So questions
1] I bought it without any paperwork-a check with DVLA shows it's not been taxed since March 2014-can I apply for V5 on line or is it a post office job?
2]Anyone know best place to get a battery for it?
3]Is there a way to tell if it's seized without a battery on it-there is no kick start on this model?
On question 3 I've taken plug out,put it in gear and tried turning rear wheel but this just stops solid once chain slack or something is taken up,so does this point to seizure?

When you say you've tried turning the rear wheel is that by hand or by pushing the bike along?  ???

Even with the plug in, you should be able to turn the motor over by trying to 'bump start' it.  :y

Try bump starting it.  Safest way is to sit on it a get someone to give you a push, otherwise push and run along side it with the clutch in, jump on when you've momentum or run out of breath and let the clutch out!  :y  ;D
