I met a man at High Wycombe who explained to me how he sets his camber angle setting. I forget how he measures the amber angle. I think it involved a surveying or engineering tool. Would he please remind me how he does it? Thanks.

It was probably me.

Google Wixey digital angle gauge, which is a box about 50mm square that measures angles.
You stick this to a length of angle iron, and measure the camber angle directly off the wheel.
Some creativity will allow you to adjust the camber to your desired setting.

This isn't a replacement for a full geometry check, but is a good start if you've had the front suspension apart.

There's a guide on replicating the before setting. Also covers similar process with a spirit level from scratch iirc.
