Part number anyone?
« on: 05 June 2015, 05:54:40 »

Morning guys, does anyone have a part number for "o ring" between coolant transfer pipe and engine block (at the back of the "V"valley) please?
Miggy 's having a slight coolant loss from HBV as I could saw.
I'm going to replace cam covers again than replace HBV and while I'm there it would be good to replace that "o" ring just to exclude possible leak beside HBV.
Thanks in advance guys, Stan

Are you talking about the coolant bridge to each head (dowtys) or the main coolant transfer pipe to actual engine block (o ring)

PN for dowty:

PN for o ring:

I hope it's not a violation of therms using other member's pic - if it is, freely remove and I apologize.
I'd like to replace a seal just as a precation  :-[

Oh EMD  ;D I drove 3.0 mfl yesterday for the first time and now I believe my 2.5 isn't really a candidate for taking engine out and replace every gasket on it ....it just isn't worth the effort....3.0 is much superior and tempting :P really.
So If I'm correct I should order following part as TB said right?

Yep, puting a 3.0 lump into mine's 2.5 engine bay would be nice ::) and keeping 2.5 road tax and insurance...dirty minds I know  ;D

Water INLET neck.

Interesting, I always wondered which way the coolant flowed. :y
