Not the best day at work today

Attended a rather nasty fatal collision today..........just makes me feel glad for what I've got, good family & friends. It hit home somewhat today for some reason dunno why, how loved ones can be here one minute & gone the next.......really feel for the remaining family  :'( :'( :'(

Not a job I could do. People imagine it's great fun bombing up and down the motorways, but they seldom think about the boredom of routine paperwork, the traffic jams, the mouthy scrotes or, worse of all, the aftermath of an RTA involving fatalities.
Just one accident that resulted in the death of a child would see me quitting, I'm afraid. You have my sympathy and my admiration, Jason. Chin up, mate.

Sounds bad mate , we come across some really sad stuff in work( not to your extent :'(  ) and I tell my staff that the day they stop being affected by it in some form is the day they should pack it in, i'm pretty hardened after 20 yrs but still every so often something will gut me :-\.

I hope you guys have a support network of some form through work. Cheers for the work you lot do, some people realise do realise it's not just tickets and points getting handed out :y

Never good, but some solace to be sought in the fact that alot of traffic policing is about preventing such things from happening. Unfortunately you can't possibly be everywhere at once...

When you're younger you think you're bombproof ...... as you get older you realise you're not.

Along the same lines .....

the programme about the London Met police the other night, one minute a bloke is outside a pub having a drink with his mate, when a group of 7 hooded lads came up the ginnel/ally way and stabbed & killed him  ??? ........ a case of mistaken identity. He had a young daughter.  :'(

The coppers managed to trace back CCTV to a time before their hoods went up, got one of them at a cashpoint and went from there. Though tey didn't get them all, they got the bloke that did the actual stabbing & his brother.

I friend of a friend is well up there in Humberside traffic.

Told me quite a few stories over the years which made me, shall we say alter my driving style  :-X

Keep up the good work Jase.
Just think of how many more you would have to suffer if you didn't help take some of the dickheads off the road  :)
