I understand there's a static Vulcan display at Newark (Air Museum ?) where they will on special occasions light up the engines & run them as a spectacle

saw the vulcan fly over and display yesterday at cleethorpes armed forces event :)

Don't know if a decision has been made for its retirement home yet but Bruntingthorpe or Elvington would be perfect.
Maybe she could accidently on purpose  :-\ go a little too fast down the runway as Lusty Lindy did  :y

The plan is to house it at DTV airport - it's current base and the former RAF Finningley.

Doncaster is it new home - new accommodation being built for it as a kind of training and engineering centre. Including plans to use the accumulated engineering expertise to keep other old aircraft flying.

Lets hope its a good choice as once it can't fly moving it is going to be a challenge!
