Ah, 12 months fresh MoT on the Omega...
« on: 15 July 2008, 03:26:33 »

...always nice when they pass, innit? Two advisories - rear shockers starting to "mist" oil, and both pipes blowing ever so lsightly on the entry to the back box.

Nothing for it but to get a full set of Bilstein suspension (or similar) all round... and a full stainless system, including manifolds. You can't be too careful, you know... ;)

I can't not mention the "incident" htis evening though - maneouvring between a wall and a stupidly parked taxi, coming out of a petrol station, I was too busy checking the two inches of clearance I had on each mirror, and promptly drove into the side of a moving car at 0.2mph... long day of getting green paint off my bumper tomorrow, I think... if it comes up well, it's all  good... if not, its off to the SMART repairer's. (I only picked their card up in the MoT garage this morning... if I believed in curses...  ;D)

Who do you have in mind for an exhaust system?? If I keep my mig, I'd like a full exhaust on her.

It's the sitting waiting for the M.O.T. to be completed that gives me the butterflies.
When the nice man comes out and says.....   pleased to tell you it's passed"......I give a huge sigh of relief...Lovely feeling. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

 :y Congratulations,

I always hate MOT's even when I'm cofortable that there's nothing wrong. In my local garage you sit in the car and do all the operational bits while the tester walks around and checks. So it keeps you busy for 40 minutes until he takes over and moves the car onto the rolling road. Mines not due again until April and already I'm dreading it!

1. Buy a BMW 5 series next time

2. Buy an Audi

Happy 12 months Migging. I'm spared MOT panic. Good mates who are good on spanners, & my gaffer takes my cars in while i'm @ work.
Been doing it this way for years!!!!!!! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]
