Water pump
« on: 26 October 2015, 18:36:08 »

Had my Astra in for mot and oil service today, plus a small coolant leak. The water pump needed replacing and, looking at my invoice, the cost of the part was £21. I can't find one online for anything like that, even eurocraparts come in at circa £50. Hope it doesn't fall apart In a short period of time.

The trouble with living in Barnsley is that everything is decided on price. I would prefer it if a balance was struck between price and quality.

March 2012, so 7 months over, Jon. TBH, I use the car so much that I just pay for small repairs, even during warranty. Vauxhall take an age to get round to anything and I just don't need the hassle.

Wouldn't be the first garage to try... ::)

Did they swap the cambelt as well?  Btw, seven months over what warranty? If Network Q you should get a year from date of purchase :-\ (won't include the clearly defective colour though)
