Author Topic: GP Surgery rang ME today!!!!!!  (Read 517 times)

GP Surgery rang ME today!!!!!!

Had to make an appointment with a particular GP to discuss a letter they have had from a Consultant at the hospital who I recently saw. The heart one, when I was wired up for a week.

All part of some long standing medical issues, currently off work for a different, but possibly linked, problem,  and have to see my usual consultant, again,  in August, he is the one who told me not to go back to work when I saw him last month.

I have a letter from the heart consultant and seems nothing particularly to worry about, so why does the doctor want to see me?  could not get the appointment till Monday morning.

Hopefully just to check on you again, perhaps give you some further results, etc.  If it was critical I am sure your appointment would have been one of those emergencies ones. :y

Try not to worry Mike, probably all routine but I know it is worrying but that won't do you any good at all.  Keep calm! 8-) 8-)

As Lizzie says, I am sure it's just a follow up ---- I expect there are some lifestyle issues the doc wants to go through and they know, if left to you, being a bloke, they won't see you again for months !!!!  So they have called you instead!

Perhaps any need for concern and urgency would have been made clear Mike; rather than it being a "please make and appointment to come-in" message.
All your friends here on OOF wish and hope you will be attending the Surgery to hear the very best possible news. :y
