Battery Charger?
« on: 20 January 2016, 16:31:30 »

Hi, according to battery charger specs some may not be suitable to my battery.
My battery specs are: 12 V 74A 850AH.

Which one should I get?

I suspect your battery is actually:

12v, 74Ah, with an 850A cranking capability.  Most car battery chargers should be fine.

Battery charger specs are designed to make you go and buy a bigger charger.

They all do the same job. A smaller one will take longer to charge a bigger battery and vice versa, but anything will do the job.

I wasn't sure but now I get it :D it makes sense apart from voltage 6/12/24 ...
So, I can think of a battery as a bucket. If larger then it takes more water, if the tap provides constant amount of water then it will fill a small bucket in less time then a larger one.
Thank you guys :D

I'm just contemplating how you would fit an 850AH battery in to a miggy :P

An 850Ah (Amp Hour) lead acid battery is roughly half a metre by half a metre by a quarter of a metre in size (google one up).

Car batteries are small in Ah capacity (e.g. 75Ah) and high in Cold Cranking Amps (e.g. 850CCA).

Just call me the joke killer.
