Back again with this ongoing problem! I have removed the courtesy lights next to the mirror and found one of the diodes was faulty. I have just just popped it back in without connecting the plugs, so everything is back to normal but without the timed lighting of course. As I am going over there until August I will not be using the car. Thanks guys for your inputs!  :y
