Wiper problem
« on: 23 August 2016, 21:29:24 »

Hi all. Been a while since I posted. Problem with wipers started 2 days ago on drive home from Oxford in the rain. The intermittent function has stopped working and when I put wipers on normal speed then turn them off because screen is clear the blades stop where they like !  To get them to the home position has to be by flicking the switch. So I am thinking either the relay or the motor. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Kevin.

I'd be looking at the park switch inside the motor as that's by far the likeliest cause.

I'd agree with Nick W, though I'd just acquire a known good replacement motor from one of the breakers on here :)

Thanks guys. I have not yet got the post count to be able to post on parts wanted section. Would either of you be able to give me a lead as to who may have a motor for sale ?  One other question. Does it matter which model the motor is from of is from or is it a common part for all models ?  Thanks again for your help

For wanteds a helpful mod will move it if you put it in the test section. It's only for sale ads which you strictly need 250 post count.  :)
