Haven't seen it that low anywhere around here. Cheapest is around 117.99. :(

Having checked out petrol prices within my post code area at petrolprices.com it's interesting to see that Tesco's in one area is selling at 117.99 but 8 miles away they are selling at 111.99. How the break does that work?!! >:( Surely Tesco's pay for their fuel on a national basis so how the hell do they justify a 6p per litre difference from one branch to another. >:( >:(

With petrol at £117.9p a litre, and an Omega V6 that averages 28 miles per gallon mixed driving, that's 19.41p a mile.

Therefore 500 miles mixed driving, 97.05

On a run, at 35mpg, this cost drops to 15.31p per mile, which means you can do 500 miles for
£76.55

While not great, it's Still not really bank breaking, for V6 motoring!

...and in comfort too -- at the end of the 500 mile run you should still be able to straighen out and walk  ;)

What is this "petrol" of which you speak? :-/

Oh, you mean "starting aid", of which I've used about 2 litres in the last 500 miles. :D

12.5 p a mile at the moment from my V6 doing 5m trips to the tip with trailer behind, a trip to WIM and quite a bit of "testing" the performance on LPG. That's on forecourt rip off LPG too. :y

Im now thinking there was a sense of logic in Bimbo/swmbos Renault choice.

She has a car that runs to 60 in less than 7 seconds, is cheap to run and is currently showing average consumption around town - from a 2.0litre -  of 42.1MPG  :o

But then again its FWD,French, Small and Plastic, nah thanks but i`ll continue to pay for V6 Consumption  ;D
