I really feel for you, Rolf. If I put myself in your position.........well.....it doesn’t bear thinking about. Look after her, and make sure you do everything in your power to prevent it happening again. And think how she would feel if it was the other way around.....and look after yourself.

Terrible shocks like this where we all think we are invincible (I've been there) are a good time to take stock of you and your wife's lives, listen to the doctors and post-trauma experts to work out the small lifestyle changes that can make a big difference to daily diets and exercise routines. I sincerely wish your wife a speedy and full recovery and both of you many more long happy times together.
