Well here it is. towing, generally fine, smoother changes, less hunting, but I have found one interesting issue.

When driving solo up a steep hill and getting on the level it doesn't want to change up, and doesn't want to go to third, anyone else noticed this? Either drive in second, go faster just to get a change, or force it with winter mode.

Wjat does it do when you lift your foot a tad when you get onto the flat?  The software will keep you in go faster mode until you tell it, 'thats fast enough' surely??

i have noticed this with my 3l elite. seems to take eons until it will change up even when letting foot off a bit. :-?

Agree with H21. Lift foot off accelerator pedal slightly and the gearbox will change up.

same as kick down, you push down hard, it changes down and off you go. Lift off, car thinks ok he's used most of his fuel now, i will change uP!

know what you mean, but isn't the box just torque sensing and not quite at the right speed to change up a gear? :-/

My 2.2 does the same......after some hills.......on the flat i have to completely lift off the throttle before it changes up, then re apply throttle. Its got the latest firmware on the g/b ecu.

Yep, me too. I think it wants to see very light load before changing up at low speeds. I have a section of my commute where there's an uphill section followed by a slight downhill, and it won't change up on the downhill bit. Lift off completely and it stays in 3rd for engine braking. I think it "adjusts" the shift points based on engine load at a certain speed and it takes a while to "recalibrate" after ascending a hill, where all of that goes out of the window. The same when towing. Even with my tiny trailer on the back you can immediately notice the autobox is behaving differently.
