Is it possible to have your hard drive upgraded along with the memory and possibly how much would this little exercise cost on average?? its an ibm r31 thinkpad that i`m thinkin of upgrading....P.S. my dvd players working now.... ;D ;D ;D

Yes and yes, but you will be limited on the ammount of ram.

Also, anyone that is doing you a ram uprade, if you end up with 2 stix of ram then try and get it matched  as it could well affect the overall performance of your laptop. :y

at the mo i`ve got 128mb ram and a 20gb hard drive so i`d like to upgrade whats the best hing to go for??? any suggestions??

You should be able to do both upgrades yourself as long as you feel comfortable formatting the new drive and installing windows from scratch.

Don't know the specs of your machine, but I'm guessing that its quite old.  Upgrading might not really be that viable to be honest...

I have just looked up the specs.

For the cost of a hard drive and ram upgrade, why not consider a laptop upgrade, may be cheaper than you think.

Just looked on ebay there are some interesting offers, all I would say there is go and have a look at something within 10 miles of where you live and ask for a demo before you bid or buy.

Also there are members on here who might be upgrading.

Look in your local papers.

I would in all honestly look arround 1st. :y
