Could someone help please

I am trying to add my own picture as an avatar from photobucket I have managed to transfer a picture to the test area but not in my profile what am i doing wrong please :-[

In the photobucket acct, look for the http link one, and paste that into profile for avatar

For some reason, sometimes, avatars seem to take a while to get onto the system -- I know not why -- but that happens to me when I change mine  :-[

Its instant. Any delays are Browser caching issues...

I probably have all sorts of issues !!  All I know about computers is where the on / off button is ( most of the time!!!)  :-[

Thats about my limit too I can email and ebay oh and of course oof other than that its all double dutch to me  :-[
