He could have been brilliant. He has a lot of talent in certain areas, but that almost Tourettes like commpulsion to lie at any opportunity has tripped him up in the end, just as it has done all his life.
He wont change though. He cant.

You're right he could have been, he could have gone down in history as one of the greats.

I've always liked his relentless upbeat and optimistic attitude towards this country, which was like a breath of fresh air compared to the usual miserable buggers who run this country, and I really hoped he would confound his critics and not be the Boris Johnson they always accused him of.  ::)

Unfortunately, he couldn't help being Boris Johnson!  ;D
