Where do we stand on exhaust modifications?

Lots of people mention taking the Cat out and replacing with a straight tube for the MOT.

But other often ask about taking out silencers/resonators from the system.

Also noise levels?

What can be passed regards exhaust modding on the Miggy?

You can take the cat out but the car has still got to pass the required emissions test for a cat equipped vehicle . So in practice I think you'd have to somehow lean off the mixture so it would get below the limit which would probably damage your engine if you're not careful.  As to noise levels I think the manual says something about it not being much noisier than any similar vehicle so to a certain extent it's down to the tester's assessment of it .
